The 2025 Jeane B. Kempner Fellowship application is open.
The Jeane B. Kempner Fellowship was established in the will of Daniel W. Kempner, for the purpose of giving financial aid to exceptionally brilliant students attending the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, to assist and encourage them in pursuing advanced studies. Fellowships provide one year of salary support from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026. Recipients may apply for a second year of funding.
Submission of an Intent to Submit form is required by March 14, 2025.
Eligibility:
- Applicants for the predoctoral fellowship should be in candidacy by September 1, 2025. Predoctoral fellowships will support research conducted at UTMB.
- Applicants for the postdoctoral fellowship must have received their PhD or MD degree from UTMB within the past five (5) years to be eligible. Postdoctoral fellowships will support research at UTMB or any other accredited US institution.
- There are no citizenship or residency requirements.
Submission of an Intent to Submit form by March 14, 2025 is required.
