Scholarship Application Open for the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
The date will be announced for when the Online Scholarship Application will be opened in September to all new and continuing students and can be accessed via mySTAR. A list of all institutional scholarships available can be found at https://www.utmb.edu/enrollmentservices/currentstudents/scholarships/scholarships-by-school, as well as login instructions and how to apply.
If you want to be considered for need-based scholarships, you must complete the 2016/2017 Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to applying.
All students who have completed a FAFSA or applied for financial aid for the 2015/2016 academic year should complete their Renewal FAFSA by going to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov after you have completed your tax return. When completing the FAFSA it is highly recommended that you use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, which allows your tax return information to auto populate the FAFSA. If you do not do this, you may be required
to file a correction to your FAFSA. You will need a Personal Identification Number (or PIN) to electronically sign your application. If you do not have, or cannot remember your PIN, you can obtain one at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid. Once on the site, students may begin filling their FAFSA via the “Filling Out a FAFSA” section.
If you did not complete for 2015/2016, you will need go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov establish a pin number in order to complete the 2016/2017
FAFSA.
NOTE: Please allow 5-7 business days for your completed FAFSA to be uploaded into our system.
