Because of its outstanding faculty, the University of Texas Medical Branch is one of the top 50 US medical schools in federal research funding and has many individual federal and private postdoctoral fellowships and institutional training grants.
Postdoctoral fellows have access to three major sources of funding during their postdoc training years. They are:

Non-governmental organizations that offer awards specific for postdoctoral fellows.
Examples include the American Cancer Society (ACS), National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Heart Association. Also check out societies or associations affiliated with your research topic.
