The GSBS Distinguished Faculty Research Award is presented to a faculty member for research conducted within a period of not more than three years prior to the nomination. We are pleased to honor the Distinguished Faculty Research Award recipient during Commencement ceremonies on May 7^th, 2005, at William C. Levin Hall.

Nominations are to be made by faculty and students. Research to be considered must have made an impact on a broad field of science, must be a contribution to the solution of a significant problem, or must show ingenuity and originality in the application of novel techniques to an important area of science.

To nominate a faculty, send a letter of recommendation no later than March 1, 2005 to the attention of the Dean, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, UTMB, Route 1050.
