Housed in a modern, five-story building at the heart of the UTMB campus, the Moody Medical Library is the oldest medical library in Texas and one of the largest medical research libraries in the Southwest. Collections include 248,138 print volumes; 2,782 current serial subscriptions; 130,008 monograph volumes; 4,000 titles on microfilm; and 1,333 video tapes.

UTMB is at the forefront of the information revolution, with a campus-wide computer network and access to Gopher and the World Wide Web available through the library and departmental sites. Also, various sites across campus provide students access to national and international databases for toxicological data, DNA and protein sequences, numerous biomedical and educational literature, among others.

The UTMB Alumni Field House features a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities, including tennis courts, baseball diamonds, volleyball courts, an indoor basketball and racquetball courts, Nautilus weight-training equipment, a free-weight room, aerobics room, computerized LifeCycles, Stairmasters, sauna and steam rooms, a Jacuzzi, a 640-meter outdoor track, and a heated, Olympic-size swimming pool.
All students and alumni are automatically entitled to membership, and the facility is open to their families and guests.
